I moved on from Dr C very quickly... maybe to quickly. I feel fine actually but I keep thinking that all this will catch up with me and I'll breakdown. But somehow I don't think so. Now there is no more drama, no constant wondering about what is going on...
Like girlfriend T said "Now there is nothing to worry about" And I realized that I have been worried for the last 3 months. Not a really great way to live.
Had a great time this week end. Thursday I had dinner with some friends. We had some really nice conversations about most thing like life and love and work...
Friday I met up with the rest of the EC-crowd at a place called Cliff Barnes (remember the guy from Dallas??). I have never been there before but it was quite cool. At around 11 o'clock they turned on the music and there was some serious dancing... People basically danced everywhere and it was so hot!! Once they closed we went onto Storstad for some more drink. Quick pit stop at McDonalds and then home to bed.
Saturday an all-girl dinner at PLF's place. She is really a great cook and it was nice to meet all the girls again.
Sunday was wonderfully sunny so Hannah and me strolled round town and then had some wine at a nice bar. When I came home... a bit tipsy I rented King Kong (3/5) and had dinner.
Today I met with a really nice guy from SC. We had lunch at a place that would be perfect for Hannahs graduationparty in September. I have some really fierce ideas for the party but I need to check out how traditional is has to be.
Better get back to writing my jobapplications
Take care!

Goodbye Dr C
Dr C just left my place and we broke up.
It was very dignified, no arguments and no tears - no drama. Kind of like our relationships has been.
I feel... mostly empty. He is after all someone I've spent quite a lot of time with and I will probably never see him again (Well, I'll see him once more since I have some stuff I need to pick up at his place).
We weren't eachothers perfect match but I don't feel like I've made a mistake dating him and I will miss him for a while. This guy I will remember fondly, really I will. He is a nice guy but but MY nice guy.
I probably will be sad and cry once all the information has sunk in but right now I'm ok. There will obviously be ups and downs but life goes on and I'll go with it. And I obviously will be wearing fabulous shoes as I go ;)
"Though lovers be lost, love shall not be"
Take care!

Hello Winter!
It's snowing or rather it's a dreadful mix of running and frozen water coming from the sky.
Why??? Where can I complain? I want my money back!!!
So, it's Friday today - nice. I'm going to rent a DVD tonight and have a drink.
Now, I've been trying to get the morning paper for some time now. A salesperson called and offered me a very good deal so I said yes. This was 2 weeks ago and still no paper. They called yesterday claiming they have got the wrong address but somehow they got my phonenumber right. Now it is suppose to come tomorrow... we'll see about that.
There is one person who annoys me more than anyone on this planet: Linda Skugge (unfortunately she writes in Swedish). Anyway she is on a personal crusade trying to convince women in their 30ies to have children. The irony is that she used to be a very trendy "city-girl" and now she has kids and a house in the suburbs and is just plain sad!
She has always been very judgmental about peoples lifestyles - it's very much her way or the highway but seriously....
If she wants to have kids and live in the suburbs - fine. I'm happy for her but why can't she respect other peoples choices? And now - even worse - she is against free abortions! I am totally pro-choice! I have a very hard time believing that women would use abortion as birthcontrol.
She seriously promotes that OB's should convince women to have kids since "there are so many women who wants to have kids and can't". Ok, that is NOT an argument. I truly feel very sorry for those who wants to have kids and can't but will they be happier if I have kids?? No, didn't think so.
I have never had an abortion (knock on wood) but I really don't think it would be a decision I would take lightly.
In theory, if I became pregnant, I could keep the baby. I mean I am a quite capable adult but I don't want to. I have never had that desire to have children. Maybe my maternal genes are just not functioning. I mostly find kids loud and annoying...
Spoke to Dr C yesterday. I think he has found my blog since he told me about what's going on in his life just like I wanted :) But then... he said to me: "Maybe you'll feel better and have more fun if you'd get a job" Gee, thanks for that advice, that idea never actually crossed my mind. What the hell does he think I've been doing for the last 3 months?!?!
Today I got an answer to the mail I sent to place where I'd like to work and they want me to send over my cv :) Keep your fingers crossed for me!!
Big shoutout to fierce and fab Gonzo who had her birthday!
Saturday I'm having dinner with sis, Hannah and Tanja. And then we'll hit the town for some drinks. Might see you out there!
Take care!

Hello Boredom!
It's official: I have no life! The prime of my day today seems to be the laundry and a call from mum...
OMG, a job is a must right now. Did however work at Huvudsta yesterday which was fun as usual. Camilla, friend from Huvudsta, is leaving and starting up her own business: she is becoming a bag designer! How cool isn't that?!? I will so buy her stuff when they come out.
Spoke to Dr C on Monday night, or more like Tuesday morning. I called to see if we could have lunch today but he is busy. I so tried to tell him a the stuff I'm thinking about over the phone but it was 1 o'clock at night so my mind wasn't that clear.
So far I've come up with (or my fierce buddy Nick has come up with) the fact that I think way too much. I should just go with my gut feeling. But it was my gut that got me into this trouble to start with...
So what does my gut tell me??!?!
I do like him a lot most of the time.
I wish we could "connect" easier but I know that I'm partly to blame for that as I do not like to talk about myself
Ok, enough of the rambling: next time I see him I'm going to tell him that I'd like to keep seeing him, more often and we need to define what we are. If only for my own peace of mind.
Now there I have it, that is what I need: peace of mind. Just wonder where I'm going to find it....
So hungry now!
Take care!

On Strike
It's not only the French that are on strike. I am a one person procession of demonstrators...or it's maybe more like a boycott. I read that Tommy Hilfiger does not like it when black rappers wears his clothes - therefore I'm now boycotting anything by Tommy. I really don't think it will have any impact on the world business but still...
Now, regarding the French - they truly have my sympathies. The proposition is totally outrageous. By being able to lose your job with out warning for the first 2 years your have absolutely no security at all. The jobs I have had I stayed about 2 years.
It's crazy and I hope M. de Villepin will see his mistake and change his mind.
I admire people who goes out of their way to make changes in the world. I give money to the MSF and sometime to some other charities but that's it. I want to try to find something that I can be really passionate about (and this not being getting a new Furla bag). Maybe I should try out some volunteerwork....I'll look into it.
Talked to Dr C today. He is in Italy with his job, conference and skiing. I wish I was skiing in Italy...
He didn't tell me that he was going which only once again proves that I am not a factor in his life...
He has shut down his account on the datingwebsite - if that is good or bad I don't really know yet. I am going to ask him when he comes back to town.
On the one hand I suppose it's good that he is not dating someone else but on the other hand it could be that he has actually met someone else he wants to be with. (Wonder why buddy Carl says that I tend overanalyze things ;))
Blogger and IRL buddy Joachim left for his diving adventure in Egypt today. He'll be back in a months time and hopefully spring will have arrived then. Yesterday it was actually snowing!!

Now I will get back to watching figureskating :)
Take care

Winter is back
and with a vengeance! Today it's actually snowing... again! The weekend was really nice. I got to wear my new sunglasses that I love and there was a feeling of spring in the air.
Last week was nice. I spent a lot of time alone around the house. Dr C was working a lot so we only spoke on the phone a few times. Friday was sis' birthday and we all met for dinner at an Italian place. The food was ok but the portion were quite small.
Got to met sis' new boyfriend. He seems a bit stuck up actually and he tried to make some jokes that no one really found funny. But all in all dinner was nice and it was nice to see Dr C again - I missed him (the romantic is back...;)).
Saturday was the Swedish try outs for the Eurovision song Contest. Now this is still a huge deal in Sweden. This last week it has been all over the papers "Did the right song win??" Well, if you ask me the answer is no.
Carola won, and all my respect to her as an artist but she has some opinions about the church, god and the gay community that scares me. To say for instance that being homosexual is a sin and you can be cured by prayer.... I DON'T THINK SO!!!
I can't really believe why some find homosexuality so offensive. As long as we are talking about consenting adults I don't care whether there is 1 person or 10 in bed (or wherever you choose to have your fun).
Hannah and myself joined sis and some of her friends and watched the competition. A-K, where we were, is so into this. She has taped all the competitions since 1981...
After the TV-show was over Hannah and I stayed and had a great conversation with A-K and her man. They are really nice both of them.
Sunday Hannah and me went into town to check out some clothes for the upcoming wedding. Now I know the actual wedding is not until August but it's always nice to be prepared :) I really don't know which dresscode they will go for. Knowing Gosta, he is kind of traditional so I think it will be quite a dress up occasion.
After strolling around a bit we went over to Nordic Light hotel for martinis and some wine and then off to Nordic Sea hotel for dinner. It's important to end the weekend in a good way I believe.
We got to talking about dating ex-boyfriends of friends. God, for me that is a huge no-no... Well at least depending on how much time has passed since the breakup. Less than 1 year is not happening for me.
Called Dr C to see if he wanted to join us but there was no answer. He had a huge presentation to work on. He called back a bit later but then my cellphone battery died so I couldn't call him back. Too bad!
Called him again yesterday by still no answer. I'm not that big on leaving messages for people so I guess he'll call me back eventually. I hope I'll get to see him this weekend, we both have been quite busy in the evenings lately.
Have been thinking a lot about relationships lately. Per and I talked last weekend about how to make your partner feel appreciated and secure. I know I'm not good at that but I'm going to try a bit harder. I will try to talk more about me and my feelings and ask more about him and how he feels about things.
We did have a nice talk about his job after sis' dinner. I tried to cheer him up and make him see the good sides.
Now enough of the drama I'm really hungry.
Take care!

It's all about sex...
1- How old were you when you lost your virginity? Who was it to? Describe the event.
Believe it or not, I was 18 and it happened in a hotel in Gothenburg. I would say it wasn't a very memorable event at all. Fortuneately sex has improved since...
2- What is the strangest place you've had sex?
A movietheater. Have had that fantasy for ages and met a guy who wanted to make it happen for me. What a gentleman ;)
3- Who would you consider "switching teams" for?
Halle Berry
4-Do you prefer to give or receive?
Give. Have been told I'm good at it.
5- One night stands- What's the protocol? Stay the night or get the hell outta there?
If it's at my place it's ok to stay the night. Since my mama raised me right I always offer breakfast in the morning. Leaving in the middle of the night without saying goodbye is a big no-no...
6-Favourite body part/parts of the opposite sex?
Hands, arms, legs and eyes
7-quickie or long and slow?
Depends on my mood...
8-Noisy or quiet?
A bit noisy, at least enough to know that I'm doing it right
9- Ideal amount of sex per week?
Twice a day
10-What's your number one sexual turn off?
Body odor and just no sex appeal
11-Number one arousal trigger?
A slow dance with a guy who can move
12-What constitutes bad sex?
No foreplay and a guy who moves too fast
13- Celebrity you would love to shag right now?
David Gahan and/or Lenny Kravitz
14- Define sexy?
Self confidence, brains and charisma. And the body awareness dancing gives.
15- Remember the best sex you ever had. What made it special?
The first time with my longlasting love Sebastian or the second time with Dr C. Can't really decide..
With Sebastian it was special because he did everything right and he was, at least lookwise, very much my type, and with Dr C because I was falling for him...
And now...IT'S ON!!

DAVID!!!
I want David Gahan, seriously. He is incredibly sexy and gorgeous and great. I could just keep him in my house and listen to him sing :)
More than anything am I bored now... Today I cleaned my apartment... again.
Yesterday I went training since I missed Mondays training due to a quick dinner with Dr C. Monday I was at a seminar about how to handle your finances when you start your own company. They talked about taxes and accounting. God, it is really complicated! I hope I can manage it. Got quite upset about it all actually, felt like an total idiot since I suck at math...
And then Dr C cracks this incredibly stupid comment about my hair.
Tomorrow it's sis birthday. She'll be 33! And we are all going out for Italian and we are meeting her new boyfriend. He actually called me yesterday and asked what he should get for her. That's sweet I think :) I'm getting her some bling-bling, am going into town tomorrow to get it.
Dr C was invited too so I think he is going to come. When I asked him he answered: that could be nice... A little enthusiasm would hurt!!!
I think we are getting to the point when we have to decide if we are going to keep dating or not. At least I am getting to that point.
He is incredibly sweet and fun but maybe we don't have that much incommon. The weird thing is that we have been seeing eachother for some 6 months but I can't say that I know him... Maybe we should talk more about ourselves. If he comes to the dinner thing tomorrow and we spend the night together I'll try to ask him more about himself. The problem is that if I ask him about personal stuff he will probably start asking me and I truly hate talking abut myself...
Did one very productive thing today: I sent my cv to some places where I'd like to work. Not that they are looking to employ but I could get lucky.
Am so hungry now..
Take care!

Take care!

A better place
Have had quite a busy week actually.
Spent most of Monday and Tuesday looking for jobs. Wrote a really good letter that I'm going to send to some places where I'd like to work. Not that they are really looking but I might find some openings anyway.
Have trained at all last week due to my eye. It's better today so I will probably go training tomorrow again.
Thursday I went with sis and Tanja to the spring fashion event at NK. It was ok, not really all that great. One good thing is their new shoe and bag department. It really really nice. Checked out a Furla bag that I'd love to buy.
It costs about 300 euros but once I get a new job and a paycheck I will indulge myself. Because I'm worth it.
Friday I was home watching "Batman Begins" 3,5/5. It was pretty good since fab Christian Bale is starring in it. Talked to buddy Joachim for a while too. He was home cramming for his big Dive Master degree that he is doing in Egypt in a couple of weeks. He is nice, always manages to cheer me up when I'm not feeling all that happy. It does however feel a bit weird to talk to him about my relationship issues...
Saturday Hannah and myself went to the Winebar to celebrate Ingrid's birthday. We had a very nice time and once they closed we stopped by 7-11 to pick up some candy and drinks mixers and went back to Hannah's place for some more drinks. Dr C called and he was at a friends place having dinner.
Today Hannah and me (The Dreamteam ;)) went to a museum to see an exhibition about fashion and shoes. Two truly essential things in my life. It was interesting but I had hoped that it would have been bigger. Tried to get Dr C to come with us but he was at home sleeping and then he was off playing bandy with some friends.
Saturday night, on our way home, Per and I shared a cab. He is truly intelligent and fun. We got to talking a bit about relationships. He told me some very good thing about men and their views about relationships. As I think about what he said I do believe that he is right so I'll try to put my new found knowledge into practice :)
Right now I'm waiting by the phone... pathetic but true.
Friday sis is turning 33 and we are all going out for dinner at an Italian place. I need to get her a cool present but I have no idea what to get her. She asked me to ask Dr C to join us so next time he calls me I'll ask him.
Am looking at quite a busy week which is good :)
Take care

Feeling better...
today actually. Haven't really done much this weekend, just moved my sad booty from the bed to the couch and back to the bed.
Two couples I know are getting married this fall. First out are the Brussels-couple G+V. They are getting married in Vilnius in August. Could be fun. They have been seeing eachother for 2,5 years and have been living together in Bruxelles for 1 year. G comes from a very big and very traditional family so I think the wedding will be very traditional. They met and he proposed to her one year later.
Second are D+C. They are exchanging their vows in Paris in September - very romantic... It's just that they have been dating for 3 months. I still considering it dating when it's only been 3 months...
Why do people do this?!?! Seriously, they way they are going off at eachother I doubt that they will last until September (suppose the romantic in me is dead and gone ;)).
Regardless it's a good reason for me to go to Paris...
Am considering taking a long weekend with sis and Henrik in Rome in April. Just hanging out, eating great food drinking wine and doing some serious shopping. Italy is always nice!
It seems like I'll be getting my way with the summer holidays. We will be renting a riverboat in France :) I'd love to go to the Loire-area and see all the chateaux. Most of them are open to the public and some are hotels so we could spend one night.
Watched the Eurovision Song Contest yesterday. I suppose it was ok. It's more fun to watch it with the rest of the gang. Last year we watched the finals at Anna-Carin's place and had a bet going on. We also gave our own points for stuff like best/worst clothes, best/worst choreography etc.
Now I'm dragging my sorry self in the shower and then out for a walk in the snow.
Have a great Sunday!
Take care,

Not all that...
today. Well, apart from my hair that turned out really great. Now, when Roseline does my hair it takes basically 12 hrs, when Elizabeth does it, it takes 4,5 hrs.... Guess where I'll be going next time??!?!
Haven't been feeling very well this week and today I'm really really ill! I think I have an eye infection - my left eye is all swollen and I can't see clearly...Suppose I should go to the doctor.
Spent the day at Elizabeth's salon. Me, being the very time focused European I am, was totally stressed out by the fact that every one who works there moves oh so slow! Elizabeth, from Kenya, laughed at me and said that I was "very Swedish"... I guess so but how can I not be since I've lived in Sweden almost all of my life?!?! She asked me if I spoke Swahili, which I don't. It sounds like a very cool language though so maybe I'll learn it. In Liberia, my country of birth, they speak English I believe.
Tomorrow Hannah is having her "glamorous Dinner" but I think I have to miss it. Am not feeling very glamorous and with my weird eye I can't wear any make up. I'll see how I'll feel tomorrow but I think I'll be staying in this week end.
Saturday night is also the Eurovision Song Contest, which is a huge deal here. One of the contestant, Bodies Without Organs (that I like btw) have a gay front man. Because of that there has been a huge protest organized by the Neo-Nazis and such crap... God, what is wrong with the world we live in today?!?! I mean people still starve to death and all some can think about is who the next guy is sleeping with...
I'm spending my Friday night in front of the TV, drinking an herbal potion I bought that supposedly helps against a cold :)
Take care

Champagne, champagne pt III
Had a lovely time last night with Torbjorn and Anna. We spent the last money from last years champagnetasting on a bottle of Bollinger RD 95. We also had a Palmer 98 and a lovely Verdicchio that Torbjorn brought.
Anna brought duck's liver (foie gras). I know it is immoral to eat it due to how it is produced but I really really like it.
There where some demonstrations against restaurants serving it last week.
Had a good week. Was supposed to have my hair done on Monday. Talked to Roseline last week and we decided that she was coming over on Monday morning. When I hadn't heard from her late Sunday night (had already taken my old braids out...) I got quite worried.
She didn't call nor answered the phone. I left a few messages and then I started looking for another place. Was lucky enough to get an appointment the same day. So for now I have my own hair for a while. I'm going back to have it rebraided tomorrow.
Went into town to check out the annual booksale. Picked up a few crime stories and a Lonely Planet guide to Loire, since it seems like that's where we'll spend out summer holiday.
Now the "Bird flu" has officially reached Sweden. I'm not really that worried yet since I don't hang around birds that much.
Today I think I'm about to catch a cold... Dr C was here last weekend and sneezed so I guess I got it from him....
He gave me a cool t-shirt that he bought in New York. That was nice of him I think.
Today I'm staying in I think :)
Take care

GOLD!!!
Yesss, Sweden beat Finland in the men's hockeygame 3 - 2!!!
Great and exciting game.
Have had a quiet week. Spent most of it at home fixing stuff in my apartment. I'm actually thinking about selling it. I have found a new area that is being built close to where I live today. But the apartments won't be ready until the end of 2007. I can't really plan that far ahead... I mean I don't even know what I shall wear tomorrow...
Had a massage session on Friday morning and d*mn it was painful but painful in a good way. My back is so much better know. So I can actually sit now :)
On Wednesday I'm having some friends over for a champagne tasting/dinner. Will be nice, even if I sometimes get very annoyed about certain things about one of them.
When I drink champagne I love to try new kinds. And it doesn't always have to be one f the "major" brands. And everything doesn't have to be by the book. I'd rather drink cheap champagne in a plastic cup with the right company then an expensive one with people I don't like... Well that's just me...
Had a nice week end. Friday Dr C came over for dinner. We had a nice time. We actually got to talking about us, not really The Talk but now I feel like we are getting a bit closer each time we met.
Saturday I met my family for dinner and Cabaret, the musical. It was so great!! It was set in a restaurant so at first we had dinner and then the actual show started.
afterwards I met with Hannah and some of her friends. One of the guys was that typical type of guy that I really hate. He was very "Mr Know-It-All" and apparently loved the sound of his own voice... And the worst was when he went of and bought a cocktail and came back and said "Isn't that the most gay drink you've ever seen?" I really hate that, it is so not funny! And he obviously laughed at his own jokes, most of the time he was the only one who laughed.
Last week I ordered new glasses, really cool ones. They should be done in about 2 weeks.
This week I'm also having my hair done. I made an estimate on how much money I've spent on my hair the last 10 years and I stopped when I got to 5000 euros. Well what can I say?!?! I might go into bankruptcy but I'll look great doing it ;)
Next week end sis, Hannah and me are having a Glamour dinner at her place. I have to find some recepies for the dinner. That'll be fun :)
Now I'll better get started one something....I just don't know what :) I'll watch Qeer Eye for the Straight Guy while I figure it out :)
Take care and a big shout out to sweetheart Mats who is turning 36 today.

A nice week
Had a blast at Maria's party! Got to catch up with old friends and made some new ones.
What's funny about the people I met is that some of them are part of the same internet network that I am. (No it's not about dating ;)) Shortcut. So I have "spoken" to them and known them for quite sometime but never met them face to face. Got to met some of them at the party and it was really great. They are even better in real life!
Ran into my ex and his new girlfriend and they are thinking about moving to Australia. They spent Christmas there and apparently fell totally in love with the country.
Was feeling quite low on Friday night so to cheer my self up I picked up a new jacket (retail therapy) and wore it to the party. Good friend Joachim called late Friday night and cheered me up.
Got home at around 4.30 in the morning...
Sunday, Hannah and myself went to a jewelry exhibition and had a late lunch.
Mondaynight at around 11 pm I felt like it was a good idea to start fixing my bathroom. I needed to put up my mirror again. Obviously I dropped it into the sink. I managed to save the mirror from breaking but not the shelf... so I had make up stuff all over the bathroom and I of course, hadn't closed my face powder box so I had face powder all over the bathroom too. My neighbors probably think I'm nuts :)
A huge shoutout to the Swedish hockey-girls. They did beat the US and gave Canada a good fight. Go girls! Sweden is actually doing quite well in the winter Olympics this year :)
Dr C is back from New York. He called yesterday and emailed me a link to an online photoalbum. Had some really nice pics! I am dying to go to New York, maybe I'll try to get there sometime in August or September. Suppose I should try to get a job first...
Seems like the Swedish hockey-men are going to beat Switzerland (5-1) he he he :)
Take care

Valentines Day sadness
One of my favorite artists and most talented young R'n'B stars is gone:
Lynden David Hall
He died from cancer on Valentine's Day.
He made some amazing songs and in his memory I'll listen to them tonight and light a candle for him. Rest In Peace
On a more selfish note:
Had lunch with Dr C today since he is going to New York tomorrow and won't be back until Tuesday. We talked on the phone 3 times yesterday :) He was very happy about the CD actually.
Lunch was very nice and relaxed and I'm suddenly not so worried about what s going on with us. It feels very nice, cozy and relaxed. We have fun together and he likes me ... a lot - that I can tell. When he comes back from NY I'm going to bring up the dating site issue once and for all. I have the weekend to work up my nerve.
On Saturday Maria is having her birthdayparty and I got her some very nice flavored chocolates. Hm, I wonder what I shall wear to that party. Last years party was great. Back then I had a huge crush on Mats, wonder if he will be there this year.
And I have got some amazing comments and thought from my internetbuddies. Am so grateful for that :)
Take care of yourselves and the ones close to you

On mute
He did call. Twice. My cellphone was in my bag. On mute. With low battery....
And left a message: "Happy Valentines Day, thanks for the CD. I'm home"
When I saw that he called it was so late so I sent him a textmessage.
So my misery yesterday was just temporary it seems. I'll call him later today and check if we can met tonight or tomorrow night :)
Today I'm going to call Roseline to have my hair done, the bank to start a new account and the job I applied for to see what up.
Take care

Misery loves company
or maybe not...
The week end was very nice. Friday drinks with Hannah and some friends at Marie Laveau and Saturday first concert with sis' choir then dinner at Hannah's and then Chris' birthdayparty. Met some people I haven't seen in a while, which was fun. Tried to get Dr C and his brother to join us but he was to tired.
On Thursday night Dr C and I spoke on the phone - nice as usual. Afterwards I worked up the nerve to tell him my thought on the dating site etc so I called him back and to my surprise there was no answer. I got a textmessage at about 1.30 pm saying that he had fallen asleep and he wanted me to call if I was awake. By then I had lost my nerve so I never called him back. All day Friday I was terrified - if I would talk to him I would obviously have to explain why I called back so shortly after we hung up the phone so I did the mature thing: total denial and call screening... He called twice on Friday but I didn't answer.
On Saturday we spoke on the phone and decided to meet up later.
After Chris' party on Saturday I went over to Dr C's place and spent 2 nights. Went home on Monday morning after breakfast. We had some very nice talks about a lot of stuff. He has a way of saying "we..." like "we didn't get the paper this morning" or "I want to be an at-home man but we have to have kids first"
(I suppose I should tell him that kids are not part of my future plans)
Monday was spent in Valentines Day contemplations: what should I do for Dr C. Eventually I decided to make him a CD with some of my favorite songs which I think was kind of nice. I mailed it to him so he should have gotten it today... And that's it! No calls, no messages no nothing! For once I have actually met someone I would like to spent a special Valentines day with - then there is not a d*mn thing!
And on Friday he is going to New York for the week end.
I so wonder what went wrong....
Today I went to a fashion show. The husband of a friend of mine was showing his work. It was very very nice and I am definetly going to buy some stuff of his.
Take care

Today I went to a fashion show. The husband of a friend of mine was showing his work. It was very very nice and I am definetly going to buy some stuff of his.
Take care

A new point of view
Went to check out new glasses today. Found an amazing pair from Miu Miu that I think I'm going to buy. I borrowed 3 pairs of glasses to try on at home so by Saturday I must decide.
Glasses are really expensive stuff so the pair I choose must be the perfect pairs. Had some trouble with my eye today but the medicine I got is helping - good thing.
Started planning another champagnedinner with AnnaT today. I would love to try the Louise (Pommery) but she wanted to go for Bollinger instead. We'll see what we end up drinking. Sometimes I think she is a bit to much into brands and not so willing to try new stuff. Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it has to be great... There is this wine I really really like: it's Portuguese and only costs about 5 euros...but it's great!
Am back to my more skeptical and not so romantic self today. Checked the dating site yesterday and oh yes just like I thought Dr C is still logging on there. Actually he was online when I checked. So I suppose he is looking for someone else then. Too bad!
I have decided that a mixed CD is to personal, so I'll try to come up with some other idea. I mean seriously, why should I commit to him when he is still on the look out for some girlfriend material!?!
Well, like my friend Per always says: "Judge a person by their actions not by their words"
I guess it's time for The List again. Every time I have to make a difficult decision I write a list of pro's and con's. At the moment the positive things about Dr C are predominant but there is the Dating site issue which grows into a bigger problem the more I think about it. I wonder how he would react if I just ask him straight out. I should do that since communication is the key but I'm not sure I am ready for the answer yet....
Well, we'll see what happens :)
Take care!

An eye for an eye...
Went to the eyedoctor today to have my weird eye checked out. He looked for ages and then he grunted, walked ut of the room and stayed out for about 5 mins... I got quite worried actually. He came back and told me that he does not know what is wrong! He gave me eyedrops that I'm supposed to take at night. That's it! I mean this man has spent at least 5 years in med school and all he can say is "I don't know"...and I had to pay for it.
But on the good side: before the eyedoctor appointment I had lunch with Dr C :) I called him early, well what is early for me 9 o'clock, and asked him if he was available for lunch. He actually sounded happy that I called... I like that!
I have made up my mind about Valentines Day. I'm going to make him a cd with some of my favorite songs. I think that is pretty neat! I hope he will enjoy it. Now, the question is should I ask him out on Valentines Day or should I wait for him to ask me??? I'd rather have dinner at home then go out I think. But I'll wait until Sunday. If he hasn't said anything by then I'll bring it up.
Right now there is a show called "Sex Inspectors" on TV were they help couples whose sexlife is practically gone. Interesting and quite funny actually. They are giving tips on how to seduce your partner and spice up your sexlife. Some tips are really good... ;)
Did you know that the average person spends 336 hours kissing in a lifetime...Sounds great :)
Sweet dreams!

PS I gave up the crossword and started another one, that isn't going so well either!

A Romantic in denial
Ok, I admit: I'm a romantic in denial :)
I think I have decided what to for Valentines day: I'm going to send a bunch of tulips to his job... I think or maybe to his house, haven't really decided yet :)
No, I think to his house is better....
I am beginning to realize that I am quite the romantic. When we had dinner on Saturday (candles and wines...) I didn't feel as uncomfortable as I usually do in that situation.
Went to Franska Matsalen with Dr C on Friday. It wasn't really all that great. The food was ok and the service was actually really bad from time to time. We started with a glass of champagne and the it took such a long time before we could even order. When I pay 100 euros for a dinner I do expect quite good service. For example I don't think I saw "our" waitress smile even once... instead she started yelling at another waitress in front of the entire restaurant... so not ok!
But we had a nice time. He has a way of looking at me and smiling that makes me go weak to my knees - good thing I was sitting down during dinner ;)
Afterwards we went back to my place and had a drink and then off to bed. He was supposed to play squash the next day. He left and I stayed in bed for a while longer.
Saturday afternoon I went over to his place and we (well I) made dinner. He was invited to a party arranged by his volleyball club. We met up with two of his friends, both of them really nice, and went to the party. There were mostly guys there so the two others were quite disappointed so we left early. Went onto Marie Laveau, quite nice bar actually, for some drinks.
Today I've spent most of the day in bed, his bed, working on the Sundaypapers crossword.
Now I'm matching Charlie's Angels II - enough entertainment for a Sunday night I think.
And I've also closed my account on the internet dating site. So we'll see what happens...
Take care

A table for two
Seems like the dinner at Franska Matsalen will be just me and Dr C. Asked him about it yesterday and he didn't seem to be all against the idea.
As I came home from the gym yesterday I saw that he had called. Was happy and called him back. Him and his brother had had dinner and he wanted me to join them. That was sweet I think. I asked him to give me a raincheck and he agreed.
I hope he is still on for the dinner on Friday. Maybe then I'll have the opportunity to start "The Talk".
Applied for a really cool job today. I so hope I get it because I'm so sick of being at home all the time. I've been unemploied for 1 month now - I can't belive people who do this for years. I would go crazy!!!
Well, I'll better start focusing on something other that Dr C for the rest of the night :)

Clumsy...
I'm not the only clumsy one: Read in the paper today about a guy in Fitzwilliams museum in Cambridge who stumbled on his shoelace and fell. While falling he dragged down some priceless vases from the Qingdynasty... Actually, every time I'm in a museum I keep wondering what would happen if I'd break something. Nothing happened to this guy, apart from the shame and disgrace :)
I just watched the ending of the dumbest TV-show I've ever seen. It's called "7th Heaven" and is about a priests family....all about family values and no sex before marriage and such.
Anyway, it was about Valentines Day celebrations. So I realized that Valentines is coming up soon. Am I supposed to do something for Dr C??? He used to live in the US where Valentines is a huge deal.
I've never celebrated Valentine when I've been in a relationship. Nor did I do the "Bitter Single Woman"- thing and gathered my girls to burn ex-boyfriends stuff and nag about being single.
So what does he expect? I could maybe send flowers to his job. That's always nice and kind of fun or I can take him out to dinner. Or maybe he will take me out...That would be nice.
But what if I do this big thing and he does nothing. How embarrassed wouldn't I be then?!?!
Yhe weekend was very nice. Was out with Hannah on Saturday, just spent the evening catching up at Sturehof.
This Friday we are going to have dinner at Franska Matsalen at the Grand Hotel. It's really expensive but it's probably worth it. It's supposed to be one of the best restaurants in town and they are closing for good by the end of February. Maybe I should ask Dr C to join us. If he comes he will be the only man there :) He'll probably enjoy that...
Take care

A good laugh
I do believe you need at least one a day. Have had a few good laughs this last week :) First on Wednesday night when I was having dinner, wine and some very nice talks with Tove at Bistro Jarl. We then went on to Riche for a few drinks.
I realized that 20-something men have turned it into a kind of sport to try to pick up 30-something women. I mean I don't in general mind people trying to pick each other up in bars and nightclubs, not at all actually, but a 20-something guy is not really "my cup of tea"...
Two brothers were after Tove and myself and they kept saying this like "I think you're hot even if you are older" OK, a bit of advice: Few women like to be reminded of their age, especially by someone younger. And no, you won't be getting any by doing just that!
I'm planning for the annual summer holiday. This year, if I get my way, we will be renting a boat, a penichette, and cruise on the canals and rivers of France. I'm not really a boat person but on a river land is close so if anything happens I can swim to shore and safety. Seriously, if they rent it to people who have absolutely no experience it can't be that hard...
There so many parts of France I haven't seen yet. I'd love to see the castles of Loire or enjoy the supposedly amazing food in Burgundy.
Had another good laugh yesterday. I was on my way back from the optician, walking by one of the poshest restaurants in town, all suit-and-tie-business-lunches. I carried 50 tulips wrapped in paper. Just in front of me a woman slips on an icy spot and falls over. Some suit and tie-guys inside the restaurant stopped eating and watched her struggle to get up. I went up to her to try to help her, but the only result was that I slipped and fell too...Tulips flying all over as I landed on top of her. By this time two of the men from inside the restaurant and one waiter comes running out to help us both up. They where smiling, I suppose it must have looked kind of fun. I got up and started picking up my tulips, one of the men helped me. The woman asked if they could get her a cab. The waiter guy, the perfect gentleman said: Of course and escorted us into the restaurant where he offered us a cup of coffee and a chance to warm up. As I was leaving, quite embarrassed, one of the men came running after me with the last tulip that he had found. He said: "Your flower, miss! Wouldn't want you to be without it." And as he turns around to walk back into the restaurant HE slips on the same icy spot. The waiter come running back outside but this guy gets up, quite dignified and says: "May I suggest some sand on that spot."
We all got quite a good laugh out of that :)
Today I'm going to clean my apartment and I have found two jobs I'm going to apply for and then I need to write a marketing plan for My Own Company....
Take care!

A lump in my throat
Have had a lump in my throat all day today. A dear friend of mine lost her mother last night. She wrote the most amazingly beautiful email to all of us. I know she'll be fine, she is a lot stronger than she knows but it's still so sad.
I, on the other hand, made my second modeling appearance today, as a man actually :) It's for a medical magazine - they are going to show how hard it is to tell the difference between women and men. The photographer told me I looked like a gangster rapper. I know he meant it in a good way.
It was really fun! And I made some money which I obviously spent almost immediately (I did mention that I have some shopping issues, didn't I?!?!) on warmer winter boots. Winter is back in Stockholm and with a vengeance...it's absolutely freezing, windy and the snow is now falling sideways. Hate that!
Had lunch with Dr C on Wednesday. We went to this Lebanese restaurant and he got sick as we where leaving... We had a nice time during lunch though and at moments like these I can't imagine being without him...
I hope I won't have to....

Meet the parents...
Spent Friday at Locanda with M. She always calls when she needs something and this time she wanted to know why she and her boyfriend wasn't invited to the birthday party on Saturday night. It's not my party so how would I know. Oscar isn't the most focused person so I think he just sent out some random invitations and hoped world would be passed around. I told her she was most probably welcome to come but they ended up not going...
The restaurant was ok, the service was extremely slow. I mean it is not ok for it to take an hour from finishing the maincourse until asked if we wanted to order dessert... The food was ok but the portions were quite small. They do, however, have a very large selections of drinks so if I go back it'll be for the drinks not the food.
Saturday was Oscars party. It was nice but some of his friends are really strange. They have quite... Liberal opinions about most things and we don't always see eye to eye.
It was cool to see Ylva and Fredrik there, especially since they are about to have another baby. According to the doctor the baby was supposed to come on Saturday...
I left early to go and see Dr C. He was away all day Saturday playing a volleyball game. We spent the evening watching a horrible series, something about a serial killer who killed women by leaving spiders in their beds... Horrible and it gave me nightmares.
Sunday we got up quite late and I was trying to solve a Sudoku, you know one of those puzzles with numbers in them. They are quite addictive :)
So suddenly he tells me that his parents are coming over. They have been to IKEA and are dropping of some stuff. Apparently it was a bit more than that. His brother was turning 30 and his parents were coming over for dinner and birthday cake. If he had told me that I would have left... But no, there I am in the same clothes as the day before, no make up and his mum walks in...I don't think she was very impressed! His parents seems nice though and his brother is really cool. We had dinner, quite awkward I must admit. And then we build a dresser and two bookshelf he bought.
After they left we cleaned the place (or he cleaned and I was working on that d*mn sudoku) and then off to bed.
All and all, the weekend was nice. No Talk but like HappyButterfly said; I'm not sure if I'm ready for the answer. And like they say: If you don't want to know - don't ask :)
I'll just go with the flow and see where it takes me...
Take care!

All made up
Went to MAC yesterday for a make up event. It was really nice to meet all of the Beautyqueen again, some old friend and some new ones.
(Beautyqueen VIP is one of the Shortcut best clubs. Have actually met some of my dearest friends through Shortcut).
Anyway, my makeup theme was all about fab glam and color. The make upartist worked with blue, purple and black. I was very happy with the result so I ended up buying most of the eyeshadows she used on me. "If I want it, I need it" ;)
Stepbro's mum got me an Andrea Bocelli cd for Christmas. I don't mind Andrea Bocelli but it's not really my type of music so I changed it yesterday and got Mary J Blige - The Breakthrough instead. It's really great and she is so fab.
This week has been all about work. Met with Peder, my mentor, on Tuesday. I took him out for lunch and he has new great ideas for me that I'm looking into. Then I've spent most of the time around the house writing my business plan and updating my cv. I tend to spend a lot of time on layout and ...less time on contence. Must do something about that....
Wednesday I got a surprise call from a friend I haven't seen in ages. It was an nice surprise so we are going out for dinner tonight. I can't help wondering what she wants. She is the type of person that only calls when she needs something from you. And she is an expert in forgetting favors rendered.....Well, will be interesting too see what's up.
This is part of the reason why we really haven't seen eachother in a while. I got sick of helping her out and never getting anything in return. She and her boyfriend are experts in complaining about what other people do and don't but that they should arrange something or invite people over.... would never happen.
Anyway, we are trying this new restaurant tonight that has gotten great reviews, Locanda. I'll get back to you on the restaurant.
Tomorrow Oscar is having his 35th birthdayparty. So today I must find a nice gift for him. He likes warhistory and fantasybooks. I thought I'd pick up a dvd of a book for him.
Oh, my new lamp is up. After a few attempts I got it up. It's just one small problem. If someone really tall comes over like Dr C, they will hit their head. I can barely walk under the lamp and I'm only 1m69cm.... But I like the lamp and the light in my apartment is som much better than before :)
No Talk updates to report. Haven't seen Dr C this week since we both have been busy in the evenings. But next time I see him I'll get some wine in me to work up a nerve and bring it up.
Ok, better get on with everything now.
Take care

A Dr C-weekend :)
Spent almost all weekend with Dr C.
Friday me and sis were supposed to got to NK and their annual sale but when we got there and saw the queue going all around the block we decided not to....
Instead we met up with Henrik and went to an art exhibition (Dutch painters)instead and then we had a late lunch with some wine :)
On my way home I rented 2 movies (De-Lovely and Collateral 3,5/5) when Dr C suddenly called. He was back from his skiing and was on his way to pick up some sushi. He asked if I wanted to bring the movies and come over to his place for sushi.
We had a nice time watching Collateral and eating sushi from the place on the corner. Didn't have the nerve to bring up The Talk, maybe I need to drink some wine first ;)
Saturday he had his Portuguese exam so he got up at 7.30 which is crazy in a Saturday. Sent me a textmessage asking if we could have lunch after he was done.
I went home to change clothes and shower and went back into town for lunch. He wanted carpaccio so we went to this Italian place. It was by far the worst food I've ever had!! And to make matters worse the actually charged extra for the clothes check. I really hate when they do that at restaurants. I mean I pay enough for the food and wine and then I have to pay to leave my jacket. AND they don't even give you the choice.... it's mandatory!
After lunch we took a walk around town, I had to pick up some wine for the movienight at Jocke's place. Asked Dr C if he wanted to join us and he said yes. I think he had a nice time.
We went out to Jocke's, he lives quite far from town, and went shopping for food and then back to his place and made dinner. Or I made dinner and the guys watched me....
We watched Sin City (3/5), is was cool but a bit to much violence for me.
On Sunday we got up quite late and made brunch: pancakes, eggs and bacon. And then we watched War of the Worlds (2/5) and Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (4,5/5) I love that movie! We had a late dinner and then he went home.
I do enjoy being on my own and after a whole weekend with I'm it was actually nice to be left alone. At least for a while now I miss him :)
Today I'm finally putting my new lamp up and the I'm going to write my business plan for My Own Company and then I'm going to clean my apartment. Or at least that is my plan for the day. I'll see how far I'll get :)

Exclusivity
How do you know when you're dating exclusively??
I know for a fact that Dr C is still logging on to the dating website where we met. How do I know? Well, I admit I log on to... but only because I know that he is logging on there. Logical huh?!?!
I check and if he has been online then I think it is ok for me to log on too, that is if he has been online.
I wonder if he is looking for someone else. I know for a fact that he was online today AND he is away skiing in his parents house in the mountains. So, do they have internet access in the house or did he go out of his way to find it??? If he went out of his way exactly why?? Maybe I should just end it here and now so he won't hurt me that bad. I would so miss him if we stopped seeing eachother but I do not want to hear the words "I have found someone else..." I miss him now and he is just away skiing with is family...
I suppose we should have The Talk. My best friend Carl, who is from the US, always tells me about The Talk: it's apparently after the 5th date ( that we passed months ago) you should talk about the future of the relationship and decide if you should be exclusive or date others.
We have not had The Talk yet, wonder if we ever will. We do, however, have sleepovers at least twice a week. He has met most of my friends and my parents. At New Years he was at another party but came over to our party at 4 o'clock in the morning and then we spent the night at my parents place. He stayed on the next day and helped us clean up the place.
A thought just struck me: maybe he is checking the website to see if I still log on... Just takes a little work and you can check without actually having to log on.
Shit, I supposed I need to bring this up but I don't know how, where and when. The best way might be over dinner after some wine at my place so if he dumps me I won't need to get on the subway home.
Oh yes, I love exploring the more paranoid side of myself.
Well, if dumps me I will always remember him fondly *not*
Take care

A pleasant start
of 2006. The party on New years was great! We got started with all the shopping around lunch. Then back to my parents place to cook. I got out of the shower at 7.45 pm and the first guests arrived at 8. The food was very nice. We had two different smoked salmon sandwiched, two pie (minced meat and vegetables) and mushroomsoup. And also ton and tons of booze ;) After all the theme was "Cocktails"...
And midnight we went outside to check out the fireworks and then we walzed, it's a silly tradition we have. I really don't know how it started but we always walz just after midnight on New years...
Dr C arrive at 4 am when most people already left but he and I stayed up till 5 and then we went to bed too. He helped clean the house the next day - so now he has met my parents for real.
Later sis, Dr C, myself and 2 other friends went to the movies and saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I'd give it a 3/5. Spent the night at Dr C's place. I like him :)
Today I've done everything but the one thing I should do... I've rearranged my closet, cleaned the kitchen and some laundry so tomorrow there are no excuses. I have to start writing a proposal for a fashion show and seriously look for a new part time job. I'm thinking about waitressing again. The downside with the restaurant business is the workhours... mostly at night. But it's fun... well I'll think about it.
One cool thing is that I've sent my first invoice :) Should have the money by the end of this week.
I've mailed Peder, my mentor, and invited him for lunch on me as a thank you for all his help.
Saturday we are having a movienight at Jocke's place. Could be fun, he has apparently a whole bunch of new dvds that I haven't seen.
So, tomorrow I'll be the focused business woman I have to be. Or at least I'll try. "Fake it 'till you make it"
Take care!

A good 2006
for us all!
Had a few very relaxing days between Christmas and New Years. But now I'm back in business... am having a big cocktailparty on New Year Eve and everything has to work out.
Today Gosta, Vitalija, Oscar and myself went to Systembolaget to pick up the booze. We got quite a lot so I hope it'll be enough...
New Year is by tradition the party holiday for me and my friends. So I hope we can live up to their expectations once more. Last new years was great :)
Spent some night with Dr C, he came over tonight and we went out for pizza. We are not spending New Years together since he had made plans with a friend before he got my invitation. Too bad but I'll be surrounded by great people anyway. He said he might stop by later but I don't think so...
Tonight I got some disturbing news about a person who is important to me. I know there are two sides to every story but in this case I don't really see that there is. I will however check it out but if the truth is anywhere near what I've heard... well then I will have to change my opinion about someone and to the worse.
So, I suppose I should get to bed now so I won't have bags under my New Years eyes tomorrow ;)
Take care and have a great night tomorrow and an even greater 2006 with lots f champagne and laughters!
Love/E

VIP's of 2005
According to Time magazine the most important persons of 2005 were Bono and Bill Gates and his wife.
Bono is for 2005 what Bob Geldof were for the 1980's. Being the influential person that he is he has used his influence in a great way. Making people aware of what is going on in the world today: famine, HIV and poverty. I do give money to the MSF since I think they are really doing a great job where it is needed not just in the places we read about in the papers.
Today it has been one year since the big Tsunami in Thailand and Indonesia. There where lots of Swedish people who traveled to Khao Lak, where the most Swedes where killed, for a memorial. Now, don't get me wrong it was a huge disaster and many people lost loved ones. But people die everyday. 225 000 where killed in the Tsunami, one month later another 225 000 in the 3rd world had died but from famine, HIV and other diseases.... where are the memorial services for them???
It has also been one year since my grandfather died. Tonight I'll play a game of chess in his memory. He taught me to play chess when I was 6 and poker when I was 8.
Who are my VIP's of the year?
Obviously my sis - we've had some great times this year. I stayed with her from beginning of May to beginning of June. Can't believe she put up with me :)
My girl Gonzo - for all the drinks (and hangovers ;)) and the positive energy and inspiration.
I would not be as divalicious as I am if it wasn't for her.
Joachim - seriously, he is a great guy and he has helped me a lot with all sorts of things. And regardless of what has happened between us he is important to me.
Last but not least Dr C - started with a cup of coffee and who knows where it will end ;)
Take care

Shopping and shopping...
Sometime I just love myself! I finally came up with a lovely Christmasgift for mum and dad. I'm giving them movietickets and a large box of candy. Damn, I'm good :)
And with that all my gifts are bought and wrapped!!
Figured out what to get Dr C also. I gave him an icecrusher and a books called Margaritha rocks. He loves his margarithas...
Now, it turned out to be a housewarming/Christmas present and he liked it. I'm glad.
He is sweet but quite odd sometimes. I was over at his place on Tuesday and he was trying to get his computer running. I mean it's not that I mind that he is doing something else but lately we have been like friends occasionally sleeping in the same bed...
He is not like the guys I'm used to which is a good thing sometimes and a bad thing sometimes. When I was dating Tommy we hardly made it out of bed. The only time Dr C and I are in bed is when we are sleeping. Maybe he doesn't like sex?!?! But how could he not...
Tonight I'm going over to Tanja's for our annual Christmas games. Everyone gets some gifts for about 5 euros and then we gather them all on a table and start rolling a dice. When you get a 1 or a 6 you can take a gift. Eventually we will start taking gifts from eachother and we play for 20 mns. When the time is up some can actually have all the gifts and someone might be without. It actually more fun than it sounds...During the game we also try to sink as much wine as possible ;)
The plans for New Years are also set. We are having cocktails and smorrebrod. Should be fun since we have expanded the "party circle" this year. I think it'll be up to 30 people.
Now I've got to start packing up my gifts and get my divalicious self on the road :)
Have a great Christmas and take care or yourself and the ones you love!

In my dreams...
I know it's always dull to talk about your dreams but I had the strangest dream some nights ago.
I dreamt that I had been kidnapped by terrorists (probably from watching Jack Bauer in 24). I and some other people were locked up in a quite nice house actually, there where cameras everywhere so we were under constant surveillance. All the others where trying to figure out a way to get out.... I was complaining about the food and that there was not enough champagne! I have always considered myself being quite brave and enterprising but apparently I'm more of a luxury loving selfish b*tch. Just before I woke up I was, in my dreams, writing a list of stuff that I wanted my kidnappers to get me, such as fresh tuna, champagne and truffles...
I always thought that if something happened to me I would fight, be brave and cunning like Jack Bauer but I would probably do a "Patty Hearst" and just go with the flow...
Oh well, hopefully I won't ever be kidnapped so I'll never have to find out :)
Yesterday we had the Christmas dinner. The food was ok, no more no less. We did the whole secret Santa thing and Jocke gave me a really nice champagne from St Petersburg. Am looking forward to trying it. We decided to have a movie night at his place sometime during Christmas. Movie night at Jocke's is usually tons of films, food and serious boozing. According to tradition we start at around 2 o'clock with Margarithas or Bloody Mary and from there it's just downhill ;)
Have been working a lot these last couple of days so today will be all about resting. Dr C called just as I came home last night at around 2 am. He was in his new apartment, am looking forward to seeing it. I was half asleep when he called so I think I told him about my dream. He probably thinks I'm crazy now :)
Tomorrow is probably the last day at Huvudsta, at least for the Christmas season so I'll have a couple of days to get my last presents.
Need to get something for mum, dad and most importantly Dr C....
Today it's freezing cold so I can wear my pimp-fur :)
Take care

The Model in me...
Did my first (and only) modeling appearance yesterday. It's for the ToppHalsa magazine. I had such a good time considering the fact that I hate having my picture taken. They took about 70 pics and ended up choosing 3, one for the actual article, one for the cover and one more.
I'll get about 5 pictures on a cd sometime in January :)
Today I'm happy: finally found my favorite film and ordered it. It arrived today: Priscilla - queen of the desert. If you haven't seen it yet you MUST!!! I also ordered the ultimate chick-flick "Beaches". I cry every time I watch it but I love it.
Tonight it's the Champagnetasting. Have decide to take the train and the a cab from the station. Seriously, I won't carry 8 bottles of champagne and arrive in a total sweaty mess...
Talked to Dr C last night. He suggested that I should ask his brother to take me to the champagnetasting...Uuuhm no, it might seem at bit weird if I were to call his brother - who I've met twice - and ask him for a ride.
Anyway, Dr C is supposed to move today. He hasn't really packed anything yet and he has no furniture besides a bed in his new place...Sounds a bit like me when I moved to Nykoping two years ago. In my case I think it was my subconscious telling me not to go...
So, I have suddenly realized that I'm really not single anymore. Yesterday, at the photoshoot (I like saying that ;)) I referred to Dr C as my boyfriend and I didn't feel strange about it - very nice. Maybe I should tell him this...
I'm still wondering what to get him for Christmas. I know he enjoys going to the theatre so I could get him tickets, either to the theatre or perhaps the opera. We could make an evening of it and go out for dinner afterwards.
Actually sis asked me, last time we met, what I wanted for Christmas and Dr C was sitting next to me listening... I don't think she did it intentionally it's just that she knows I'm quite picky...
Picked up some new makeup stuff from Nouba yesterday. I think I'll use it tonight.
I hope the tasting won't be dragging out into late evening. I'm supposed to go over to Dr C's afterwards if it's not too late and I really miss seeing him.
And I'm working tomorrow, from 11.30 am to 1 pm - great, really great *not*.
Ok, now I have to catch up on my reading a bit so I come off as a very well educated sommelier...
Have a nice day and take care

A total black-out!!
Yesterday as I was trying to pick out what to wear for Dan's and Stefan's party everything went black. Totally black!! Apparently there was a huge power failure that affect all of the northwestern parts of Stockholm... So I started lighting some candles. I'm really afraid of the dark so it wasn't all that fun. I tried to use the phone - it was dead, my cellphone was also out so I could call anyone. This is what I've always been saying... if you want to invade a country don't send the army - send some technician who can take over the electricity and water supply and you're done....
Sending textmessages worked so suddenly I got a mess from Dr C asking where I was. Answered that I was home in total darkness. Ended up packing up some clothes, make up and stuff and went over to his place to change.
The party started at 8 but we got there at about 9 since he is even slower than me when it comes to picking clothes...Quite funny but it can be annoying too. Now I know what people are going through when they are waiting for me.
Picked up two glossy magazines for the guys: computer mag for Dan and interior decorating for Stefan. They seemed to like them.
The party was quite nice, a lot of people I don't know but Dr C and I ended up with sis and some friends at a table and had some really good laughs.
Gonzo called and asked where I was... I had totally forgotten about Jessicas party. There where all girls and they seemed totally drunk... I didn't feel neither glamorous nor fab so I never went.
(Just now there was a fab Italian swimmer on TV strutting his stuff ;))
I actually did what I hate when others do... stood up my girls for a man! I'll try to not make it happen again!!
What shall I get Dr C for Christmas??? He is moving on Wednesday and he needs tons of stuff for the new apartment like wineglasses, ordinary glasses, plates etc etc... It seems kind of unpersonal to get him something like that but it's taking the easiest way out. Well I'm gonna think about that for a while. I still have a few weeks to figure it out.
Just realized that Christmas is 10 days away...
Am spending Christmas at mom and dads which means no broadband internet access and no cable. I know Christmas is all about spending time with your loved ones but seriously...I need my entertainment!
Next Saturday it's the Christmas dinner with my friends. Should be really nice. Dr C plays his last volleyballgame that day so I might hook up with him afterwards.
He is really nice, not what I would describe as "my type". I usually go for the more macho type but still. I really really like him :)
Would love to see the movie " Just like heaven". It's probably a total chick-flick and I'll probably cry but I think its great.
No more from psycho-girl who thinks I want her man! Maybe she finally got it and dropped it. I hope so. I can't be bothered with other peoples lifes and troubles, I do have enough with my own life.
Ok, better get something to eat now

A day off
today :) Will be enjoyable. Right now I'm watching reruns of Falcon Crest - the coolest of all the 80's soaps.
Been working every night this week so it's nice to be able to rest my feet. Worked late last night again.
But managed to squeeze in a very nice lunch with Dr C. We went to one of the big market halls in town and had fish. He had soup and I had fried fish.
He has to buy some new clothes for work, apparently their dresscode is quite strict. Could be quite fun, we had a great time last time we went shopping. Or at least I had a great time. I shoved him into a fitting room and forced him to try on everything I picked out for him :)
Tomorrow we are going to a Gloegg-party at Dan's & Stefan's place. All my friends will be there I think so Dr C will be watched and judged ;)
On Monday Joachim is helping me with the d*mn shelf. Hopefully we will get it up and it will stay up.
I'm putting it over my bed so I keep my fingers crossed that it won't fall down...
Now I should clean my apartment, do the dishes and write some stuff for the champagnetasting on Wednesday... or I'll watch an episode of SATC to get in a good mood :)
Have a great day

Heaven help
me!!
What is wrong with people??!?!
Yesterday I got some really...how shall I say... unexpected information.
Apparently someone thinks I'm after her man. NO!! The only man I'm interested in is Dr C. There, you have it in writing. Now let it go and get on with your life!
Seriously, if I thought someone was after my man I would bring it up with him not the the other woman. Grow up!!
So, got that out of my system...
Had a nice lunch with Gonzo today. First we stopped by STUK, one of my favorite shops. They have the most amazing pants. I didn't buy anything today. Christmas is coming up so I must stop shopping for myself and start with the Christmas presents for my family and friends.
Talked to Dr C yesterday. He is sweet and fun. He is moving next week and hasn't started packing yet...He had some second thoughts about the apartment he has bought. I haven't seen it yet but it sounds like it's nice. It has an open fireplace :) I can really see myself in front of it drinking wine and reading a good book....
tomorrow is the big Photoshoot. Am really looking forward to it :) The theme is Divas - so they are hooking me up with clothes, shoes and everything.
Oh just remembered I have to do my toenails since I'm going to be barefoot in one of the pics.
Better get on with my writing now. Trying to finish my projectplan for Peder...
Take care

Lazy Sundaynight
Had a great weekend...again. I keep repeating that but it's a good thing to repeat...:)
Friday night Dr C and I had dinner at Texas Steakhouse. They have the greatest meat but leaving the place everything smells like grilled meat since they have an open grill in the middle of the restaurant. We got there at about 8 and had a Margaritha while we waited for a table. Then with dinner more Margaritas and after dinner we ordered a pitcher - seemed like a good idea at the time ;)
We went back to my place and I fell asleep with my clothes on... not very classy but Dr C wasn't all that either.
Saturday we had brunch with bacon, eggs and toast at my place and then I went to my parents place for the champagnetasting. I stopped by Systembolaget to pick up the champagne.
The tasting went very well and I stayed for dinner.
Dr C sent a textmessage asking if I wanted to join him at a friends birthdayparty. I went and we had a nice time. He can actually salsa, didn't think he was the dancing type but we had a great time. Went back to his place since we were in the neighborhood.
Sunday sis' choir had a concert that was really nice. They performed a piece by Benjamin Britten. Afterwards me, sis, mum and dad went for dinner in an Italian restaurant - quite nice.
My liver is not doing well after this weekend... Had huge amounts of Margarithas on Friday, Saturday it was the champagnetasting (no I didn't spit ;)) and then the birthdayparty with some more wine and just to give the weekend a nice ending I'm having a glass of wine as I'm writing this....
Next week will be all about healthy food and training.
Oh the coolest thing: I'm going to be in a magazine. Gonzo hooked me up with the magazine TopHalsa because they are writing about women with hairextensions. They have already done the interview over the phone so on Tuesday I'm going to have some photos taken. Will be great, I'm getting the make up, the styling and the works. They want a DIVA-style...
Am so looking forward to this!
Tonight Dr C is playing a volleyboygame. I'll call him later to see how it went.
I'm wondering about Christmas and New Years. Should I get him a Christmasgift or should we spend New Years together?!?! I'd like to but I'm not sure what he has planned...
I know: we should talk about it but I don't want to seem to eager...Shit!!
I'll make a decision tomorrow...
Take care

Working girl pt II
Have now worked for a while it has been fun but a lot of work.
The good thing about being a waitress is that I get to do a lot of walking hence I'm training :)
Lately I have been catching up on a lot of things. I have updated my CV, met with Peder (my mentor) who helps me out with My Own Company. All I need now is a name, it has to be cool, catchy and yet quite exclusive...
Jessica, a friend of mine in Gothenburg, is leaving for Tanzania in January. She will do some volunteer work, starting up a computer education among other things. I truly admire that. If I wasn't so lazy I would go too. Now I just give money and hope that they come to good use.
The d*mn shelf is not up yet. I've been drilling for hours and all I have to show for it are four more or less ugly holes in my wall. Joachim has promised to help me out. It's not that I don't appreciate his help I just wish I'd been able to manage on my own. Oh well, at least I tried and it's no point being an idiot about it. You must always know when to quit, right?!?!
Ran into Dr C downtown when I was out shopping for Christmasgift on Tuesday. Haven't seen him since then but he called yesterday and I believe he will take me to dinner tonight. It will be nice to sit down and eat while others are waiting on me :)
Was supposed to buy gifts for others but ended up getting a fakefurcoat for myself. Oh, I did get a book about fashion for sis. On the 17th I'm gathering all my friends for our annual Christmasdinner. Everyone is supposed to bring a gift worth about 5 euros/50 sek, kind of a "Secret Santa"-thing. I'm buying something Henrik so I got him a very cool mug.
Today I'm not working, will give me time to rest my feet and clean my place and do some laundry.
Tomorrow I'm holding a champagnetasting for my mum and some of her friends. It will be very basic since they don't really drink that much champagne. My parents are more into different types of red wine.
Sunday I do think Dr C should make me brunch. I'll suggest this to him later :)
Well take care

Round and round and round
Spent the day trying to get the cool shelf up. Now the drill is broken...There has to be some sort of metal behind the wall... What do I do now??? I have 4 holes in the wall and it looks like shit!!!
Sunday Dr C and me went to a christmasconcert with sis' choir. Was really nice even for a cynic like me :) He has now met my family, very briefly but still..
There were two concerts one at 4 and one at 6. I figured my parents would go to the one at 4 but oh no... they came at 6.. So he was introduced to them and since mum havenät called yelling I guess he passed the test :)
Afterwards we went home to his place and watched a movie and went to sleep.
Saturday I had the girls and Per over for cheese and wine. We had, as always, a really nice time. Gonzo came by a bit early so we could catch up a bit.
We had some really nice talks and good laughs. They left at around 1 and I stayed up cleaning a bit to sober up ;)
Friday I stayed in. Wonder if I'm getting old when it's ok to stay in on a Friday night?!?!
It's really unfair isn't it?? When I was younger I could easily party 3 night in a row and still be fab but then I had no money to spend. Now when I have money to spend I don't have the energy to party like I used to...
Gonzo has hooked me up with a journalist who is writing an article about hair extensions so she inteviewed me today over the phone. In two weeks I'm going to have my picture taken. I'm getting make up and styling too. Should be nice.
Today is the first real winters day. It's all snowy and white outside. A perfect day for a snowball fight...
Well, I have to get back to my drilling now. Damn! I didn't know it would be so hard... I need some help...wonder if Dr C is good at these things?!???
Take care!

Wild wild west
What are we doing??!?!
Saw the wonderful film "The Constant Gardener" with Dr C yesterday. If half of it is true I must say I am chocked and apauled by what the western world is doing.
The plot is this:
An English diplomat's wife is found murdered and as he digs deeper into the case he finds out that she has been investigating a large medical company and what they do in Africa.
They give away useless medication to the Africans and use them as guinea pigs to test a new TBC-drug. Basically they claim to give them HIVmedicine but it is all a huge test of new unapproved drugs.
My god, not only was I struck by my usual adopted-child guilt but also did I feel guilty about not knowing this...My problems revolve around stuff like: oh no, it's raining today and I need to go and pick up some wine for my dinner party tomorrow or do I have enough money to buy both new pants and new boots...
I do however give money to the MSF and I do believe it comes to good use.
Take care

Both a sinner and a saint
Had a nice breakfast in my new kitchen this morning. What bugs me is that I can't get the new lamp up... I apparently need an electrician.
Yesterday I had lunch with AnnaT and we started talking about men and dating.
She is at the moment "dating" a guy who lives in Malmoe. They have never met but they seem to really like each other and they match in every way. She is going there next week to visit and is of course all excited about that.
They met through an online dating site too, just like me and Dr C. We started talking about why it is so hard to say no when you feel uncomfortable about someone or something.
For example: my date with Platinum Man. We had a nice time during dinner and went on for drinks. Had a lot to talk about but there was no spark... no mutual interest.
Anyway, I let him spend the night at my place and he crawled into my bed.
I was not comfortable but still I didn't say anything...why???
Dr C is coming over for dinner tonight, should be nice. He is very... innocent, very "unkissed" as Anna said. At her party a couple of weeks ago he got totally embarrassed when he accidently kissed her on the mouth instead of the cheek...
Some of my friends, and me too for that matter, are very outspoken when it comes to sex.
We make jokes, talk about most things people do in bed (or where ever they choose to do it).
At the party on Saturday we started a conversation about S/M... Looking back I'm quite glad that Dr C wasn't there... I'm not sure I'm ready for him to see that side of me and I'm not sure if he will like that side of me. What do I do if he doesn't??
Talked on the phone today and he has bought an apartment :) That's nice! And it has a fireplace.
Ok, better get going to the store now. Have to pick up some food since I've promised him dinner tonight...

New kitchen...
Bought new lamp, a new kitchen table and 6 chairs yesterday. Was lucky enough to find it at the first store I went to.
Got home and started putting it togheter. Went really well actually, I'm quite the handy-woman :)
Talked to Dr C yesterday and went over to his place for dinner. He made pasta, really nice actually.
Saturday was great. Had brucnh at Dr C's place - he made "real american pancakes" and bacon with eggs. I must say I prefer the Swedish thinner pancakes but it was nice. Then we went shopping. He needed some new clothes for work, they have quite a strict dresscode at his new job. I made him promise to try on anything I picked out. He tried it on, sometimes he smiled and sometimes just gave me that "I can't wear this"-look. But we had fun.
I asked him about the party but he had to cancel in the last minute since his volleyball team had a big game on Sunday. He wasn't supposed to play but some one else was injured.
The party on Saturday was great! Had the best time. Tons of laughs and dancing and meet some people I haven't seen in ages. And if I may say so myself: I looked great ;)
Got to catch up with Mats and Johan wich was great. Seeing Mats again reminded me why I feel head over heels for him last winter. If he wanted me would I go??? I don't know and I hope I won't have to find out. Dr C is a great guy. He is safe and kind and calls me when he says he will. We did met on this internet dating site, the only downside is that I know he is still online on the site. I really don't know how to bring this up. I just need to know if he is still looking for something better.. If he does I'm just wasting my time beeing with him.
I know... I know... communications is the key :)
I'll talk to him. I think he is coming over tonight to help me with the lamp so if opportunity rises I'll bring it up.
Today I cleaning my new cool kitchen and I need to plan for the cheese and wine evening on Saturday too...
Have a great day and take care

Shopoholic
Hi, my name is Elisabeth and I'm a shopoholic!
Went into town today to pick up a new phone as my homephone died on Monday... It made a strange noise as I was on the phone with Dr C and then...nothing.
So, I went to a store and found a quite nice cordless phone that I like it bought it. Decided to just take a quit check at HM since I need a skirt for the party on Saturday. Didn't find a skirt but I found the coolest fake furjacket, will work well with my winter pimpstyle.
Didn't buy the jacket afterall since it is HM... and a lot of people buy their stuff there. It would be cooler if I could find a vintage 2nd hand fur instead. Did however buy a belt, not that I need a new belt I just wanted to buy something. Is that normal?!?!
The nicest thing is that I actually have more money now when I'm unemployed then I had when I was working, since I don't go out for lunch every day now. I do however miss the social aspects of not working...
Mum called yesterday and she wants me to host a champagnetasting for her and some of her very posh friends. That's nice and she will pay me to do it. Now when I'm starting my own company I can actually get paid to do what I enjoy. Maybe I'll also offer my services as a personal shopper too :)
About Saturday and the party...I still haven't asked Dr C but he is coming over tonight so I might ask him then. The theme is "glamour and gala" so every one will be dressed to kill :)
If I don't find a new skirt or will be able to not buy a new one, I'll wear my cool Xuly Bet skirt and my gold corset.
As my blogger buddy Mark writes that the heart beats about 10 million beats per year....That's a lot and imagine having a muscle that works so hard and I'm not even aware of it... It's like a phone really, it's just there and you don't notice it until it starts to bother you...
Ok, now I'm going to try to unpack my new phone and make it work.
Take care of your heart :)

Another Monday
Had a really nice week end with Dr C :)
Friday morning, as I spent the night as his place, I got up an found his fridge quite empty... I am a breakfast-person so I do need something in the morning.
Went out to a cafe instead and called Gonzo and invited her to lunch. Had a nice lunch with some catching up. Decided to go shopping on Saturday.
Got home and found the phone ringing. It was some telesales-person. God I hate that!
Had decided to stay at home Friday night and just rent a movie. Dr C called and asked if he could join me. He was doing his Portuguese course at the university. We decided that I would met him at the videostore. After about half an hour we decided to rent Alfie with Jude Law.
We opened a bottle of wine and sat down to enjoy the movie. But, we got the wrong one! We got "Meet the Fockers" with Dustin Hoffmann and Robert DeNiro. It totally sucks!!!
So we got a bit drunk instead and he taught me to play Texas Hold'em poker :) That was fun and easier than I thought actually.
Saturday I got up with quite a "heavy head" and went in to town to meet with Gonzo for some serious shopping. I picked up a new pair of jeans, some make up and a pair of shoes :) Was a happy girl when I came home.
Later that day Dr C called to tell me that he was meeting with his brother and a friend from Chicago who lives in Stockholm. He asked me if I wanted to come along so we went out the 4 of us. His brother is nice but quite odd but the guy from Chicago was really fun.
We went to one of the posh bars down town and I ran into an ex. He was very drunk so we just chatted for a while. He is married but the girl he was kissing was not his wife.... Well, that is not my problem!!!
Sunday sis and me went to met dad at the Museum of Architecture. It was really nice. We went back to their place and I made dinner. I had bought him a really nice sweater for his birthday/Fathers day and he seemed to like it.
Today I'm preparing at bit more for the champagnetasting on Dec 14.
Have decided to ask Dr C to the party on Saturday. I think he will enjoy that and this time I am going to try to be the first one to call. He always calls first so I don't want him to think I'm not interested....because I am.
Take care

Boyfriend or boy friend?!?!
Sometimes I just don't get it!
When can you consider yourself not single anymore and does not being single mean you have to stop doing certain things??
Have now been seeing "Dr Carter" for a while. Took him to Anna's party last Saturday so he has met some of my friends. Sunday we had brunch at my place (yes... he spent the night ;)). He went back to his place as I was meeting some friends for an early movie.
Monday he called and came over for dinner (spent the night again). Tuesday had my hair done all day and yesterday I went over to his place and spent the night there.
As I can sometime be quite unfocused I made quite a fool of myself yesterday. I had made a roastbeef and potatogratin. He called and asked if I wanted to come over after his training. I said I would bring some food so I packed up some meat and potatoes in a box and put it in the fridge. I got a bit stressed as I was leaving the house and just grabbed a box out of the fridge. When I got to his house he, hungry as he was, opened the box and found what used to be the potatosallad I made last Sunday covered in mould!
I went to McDonald's and picked up some food....
Back to my single/not single issues. I'm going to a party next weekend, should I ask if he wants to come and in two weeks I'm having some friends over for cheese and wine. Should I invite him to this?? I really don't know how I would feel if it was the other way around... These are things that I've planned since a while back b.C. (before Carter). If he had plans with his friends I wouldn't automatically expect him to invite me along. I would be happy if he asked but I would probably say no.
Maybe I'll just ask him and he can decide for himself. We don't need to do everything together.
I need my space... wonder if I should call him tonight, after all I did promise him dinner...
Now I sound needy and very girlie...
Was dad's birthday yesterday and Fathers day on Sunday so I got him a very nice sweater. Sis and I are taking him to an exhibition and dinner on Sunday. Should be nice, I do enjoy spending time with my dad.
Well, better get on with writing a proposal for a champagnetasting and my new PR-adventure...

A really nice week end
Had the greatest weekend!
Friday I was at Marden with some of the girls. Ran into a ex co-worker from my days at Siemens. He works in Copenhagen now and really seems to enjoy it. His girlfriend (who did give me the evil eye) lives in Stockholm. That must be hard to keep up a long distance relationship like they do...
Got home just in time to watch a live concert with U2 on TV. Was really really cool.
Saturday was laundry day...again and then off to have coffee with Nicky and he told me all the latest gossip.. He has a new boyfriend who seems like a really nice guy. Am happy for him :)
Told him about Platinum man and his advice was to move on. I've told him how I feel but apparently he can't handle it as he called again on Saturday. I didn't answer as I really don't know what to say to him...
Dr Carter-guy called and asked me out on Saturday night. I had plans with Anna T's birthday party so he came along. We had a great time and he seemed to enjoy meeting some of my "nutty" friends :)
We went back to my place and had a huge brunch on Sunday.
Sunday I went to the movies and saw "The living castle". It's a Japanese film, made by the same guy who made Spirited away. It was ok, quite a fascinating story. Then some of us went for coffee. The discussion of our summer holidays came up. Jonas can't seem to take responsibility for him messing up last summer. He keeps blaming the rest of us for "stressing him". If he has a problem with making decisions.. well that is too bad but deal with it. People make decisions every day...
So, today I'm having my hair done. Will be nice once it's done...
Met a guy at the party Saturday and he wants me to host a champagnetasting for his company :) Great! I just don't know how much I should charge him. Am meeting with Peder tomorrow so I'll ask him for advice.
Better get back to my hair now
Take care

Up and down
On the upside: I may have a new job :)
I did my internship at Huvudsta Gard last spring and now I may have a job there as waitress/sommelier/conference hostess. I really enjoyed it so it'll be fun.
Also picked up new hair for my weaves and got a hold of Roseline so I'm having my hair done on Monday. Maybe I'll have her come over to my place so I can work a bit while she is braiding me.
Tonight I'm going to a Fado-concert with sis, Henrik and Mi. We went to this amazing concert in Lisbon this summer. It won't be the same but Fado is really cool.
On the downside: Told Platinum man that I wasn't really interested in him... My exact words were: "I like you but not enough to get into a serious longdistance relationship". I think that was nice and honest. He thinks I should have told him that before we met...but how would I know that... Oh well, too bad because he is a nice guy but you can't please them all.
Oh by the way his name is Erik Rolf so that explain the name confusions...
The other guy I met - Dr Carter look alike - was very nice. Might be seeing him again actually :) And there was an immediate click ;) not that we made out or anything but we are both definitely interested.
Oouups just remembered that I have absolutely no idea where my Fado-ticket is.... Must find it!!!
Yesterday I went into town to have lunch with a friend. Afterwards I walked back throught town and suddenly I fond myself shopping at H&M...how did that happen?!?! But I do need some new clothes to wear when I look for work...Oh right I have a job...I'm a shopoholic in denial :)
Well better start looking for that ticket now...
And remember any 10000 mile journey begin with a new pair of shoes ;)
Take care
